EURO VELO STOPS ROUT NR 6

Trasa/droga rowerowa nr 6 stała się częścią budynku, budynek stał się częścią drogi. Idea połączenia tych dwóch elementów znalazła swoje odzwierciedlenie w postaci wstęgi oplatającej kubaturę budynku, która raz staje się częścią tarasu, za chwilę częścią elewacji lub dachu, a następnie ponownie tarasu, aby finalnie stać się zadaszeniem nad rowerami. Nastąpiła integracja, droga w postaci ścian, stropów i podłóg stała się przytulnym schronieniem dla kolarzy, budynek umożliwił drodze stworzenie bariery przed warunkami atmosferycznymi oddając jej do dyspozycji elewacje, dachy i tarasy.

Bike route number 6 has become a part of the building. The building, meanwhile has become a part of the route. Idea of connection between these two elements has found its reflection in a form of a ribbon which wraps the volume around. It starts as a terrace, then in a moment becomes a piece of a facade or a roof, then a terrace again and at the end bends over the bike racks as their roofing.

Integration took place. The road - a daily challenge for cyclists , in a shape of walls , ceilings and floors has turned into a cosy shelter. The building has allowed the road to create a barrier against weather conditions by leaving walls, roofs and terraces at its disposal.

The building is divided into areas which host varied functions in a way in which the visitors can share a moment together or engage in different activities simultaneously.

Level 1 and 2 stops offer a table for a short lunchbreak or a campfire in the evening. Level 3 is already a full shelter where one can hide away from rain and take a shower so needed after a long day cycling. The most expanded versions - Deluxe V1 and Deluxe V2 provide spaces for cooking, hygiene, relaxation, sleep, gear maintenance and enable comfortable stay for even longer than 24 hours.

All versions are designed to be constructed on site using prefabricated modules so that replacing broken elements or expansion of the program is made easy. Module size allows them to be transported to the most remote areas on the route via truck or helicopter.
